Since business school students are usually older than those in other graduate programs, they might be in serious relationships before heading to school — and their MBA program might require them to move to another state, or even another country! Break-ups during MBA programs are so common that there’s a term for the avalanche of post-Thanksgiving dumpings: “The Turkey Drop”.

If you’re in this boat, what should you do? Assume that the demands of an MBA program will be too much, and thus pre-emptively break up to spare everyone a lot of heartache? Or stay together and try to make it work? And if so… well, HOW can you make it work?  In this episode, John, Caroline, and Maria tackle these topics of the heart

(Also: Wharton announced that its applications went down by 14% last year: what, if anything, does that mean for this year’s applicants? This topic begins at around 18:50 in the recording)

New around here? I’m an HBS graduate and a proud member (and former Board Member) of AIGAC. I considered opening a high-end boutique admissions consulting firm, but I wanted to make high-quality admissions advice accessible to all, so I “scaled myself” by creating ApplicantLab. ApplicantLab provides the SAME advice as high-end consultants at a much more affordable price. Read our rave reviews on GMATClub, and check out our free trial (no credit card required) today!
